How the story of a Drow finally captured me

If there’s one thing that I’ve always felt bad about, it’s the fact that I hadn’t read Drizzt Do’urden’s story. Basically, Drow are my favorite race in the Forgotten Realms and Drizzt is the most awesome Drow there is; It’s inexcusable.

However, while walking through the book section at Virgin, I stumbled across something magical.

All the drizzt do'urden books
It’s moments like these….

So this weekend was about Homeland, yesterday was about Exile, and after the Hobbit movie today, it’s probably exile as well.

All my waking moments are about when it’s possible to slip in a moment to read and I feel like a kid again, dreaming of encounters with mindflayers which I’ll dispatch by throwing a dagger into their squidy face. Also damn you Briza, I hate you.

So I’m not gonna review Homeland. Or Exile when it’s done. Or any of the others. These books speak for themselves. They’re as good as I hoped, and then some.
